Djibouti (Kaab TV) – A trilateral meeting between the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, took place tonight in the city of Djibouti.
According to a statement released by the Somali Presidency, the meeting focused on stability in the Horn of Africa and strengthening joint cooperation among the three countries.
The leaders were also reported to have discussed opportunities to enhance investment, regional mobility, and the development of economic infrastructure, with the aim of promoting greater regional integration and economic growth among the countries of the region.
This meeting comes at a time when Ethiopia is actively seeking access to a seaport along the Gulf of Aden.
