Mogadishu(Kaab TV) — Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received the credentials of Colonel Osman Dubbad Sugulle, Djibouti’s newly appointed ambassador to Somalia, during an official ceremony held at the presidential palace in Mogadishu, today.
According to a statement issued by Villa Somalia, President Mohamud congratulated Ambassador Sugulle on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his diplomatic duties in Somalia.
The Somali president also reaffirmed the strong historic and brotherly relations between Somalia and Djibouti, emphasizing the need to further enhance cooperation in key sectors including politics, security, trade and economic development.
The meeting highlighted the close partnership between the two neighboring Horn of Africa nations, which have long collaborated on regional stability, counterterrorism efforts and diplomatic initiatives through regional organizations such as Intergovernmental Authority on Development and the African Union.
Djibouti has remained one of Somalia’s key allies, contributing peacekeeping troops to support security and stabilization efforts in the country while also maintaining strong political and economic ties with Mogadishu.
