Forum on the Future of Southwest State Kicks Off in Baidoa

BAIDOA (Kaab TV) – Meetings have begun in the city of Baidoa, the capital of the Bay region, focusing on the future of the South West State and how the community can take part in shaping the administrative process, according to various media sources.

The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who arrived in Baidoa yesterday, held meetings with federal officials already present in the city as well as members of the South West State administration.

Most of these meetings are being conducted with different segments of society to discuss the federal elections previously announced by the government, in which citizens are expected to elect members of the South West local councils.
