First Group of Somali Pilgrims Departs for Hajj

Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – The first group of Somali pilgrims for this year’s Hajj has departed from Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, bound for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to join millions of Muslims in performing the annual pilgrimage.

A total of 431 pilgrims were seen off at the airport by several high-ranking officials from the Somali government. A farewell ceremony was held to mark the occasion, during which government representatives offered prayers, guidance, and well-wishes to the departing pilgrims.

The event was attended by the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Mukhtar Robow Ali, the Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Haji Adan, and the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Mohamed Farah Nuh, along with other dignitaries.

During his address, Minister Sheikh Mukhtar Robow urged the pilgrims to respect and adhere to the Hajj regulations set by Saudi authorities. He prayed for their safe journey and asked Allah to accept their pilgrimage.
