Galmudug (Kaab TV) – Security forces of the Galmudug State are pursuing an armed group that carried out a roadside attack on a Toyota Probox vehicle that was heading to a wedding. The incident occurred on the outskirts of the Laanjabane area in the Galgaduud region.
According to confirmed reports, three people were killed in the attack, while two others were injured. The injured individuals were transported to one of the health facilities in Guriceel District for medical treatment.
The vehicle shows signs of heavy gunfire fired by the fleeing group, which is currently being hunted by security forces. Security officials met with the families of the victims and assured them that efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible.
In recent times, areas within the Galmudug State have experienced killings linked to clan revenge attacks. However, it is not yet known whether this incident is related to those acts, or whether the attackers intended to stop and search the passengers traveling in the vehicle.
