Ethiopia Publishes Map Claiming Parts of Somali Territory

|

Addis Ababa (Kaab TV) – The Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia has released a controversial video showing a map of the Horn of Africa that includes Ethiopian territory.

The video was presented during a welcoming ceremony for the Prime Minister of India, who visited Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

The map depicts Ethiopia as extending over areas internationally recognized as part of the Federal Republic of Somalia, while completely omitting the countries of Eritrea and Djibouti.

This has sparked condemnation and criticism from communities in Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea, with many describing it as misleading.

Furthermore, it is seen as undermining the sovereignty of neighboring countries and internationally recognized borders.

The controversial video is still available on the official platforms of the Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, and no official response has yet been given regarding the public outrage.

The map controversy comes at a time when Ethiopia has repeatedly expressed its desire to access the sea and transport goods via regional ports.
