MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Consultative meetings are ongoing in Mogadishu between leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia and opposition members to deliberate on key issues on the agenda, including the country’s elections, the constitution, and the continuation of their parliamentary sessions.
The conference, which was held on Wednesday and Thursday, was suspended on Friday to allow both sides to conduct further consultations regarding the critical matters under intense debate, according to various sources.
The two sides were scheduled to reconvene today at the Presidential Palace in Somalia. However, emerging reports indicate that the meeting has been postponed to give both Federal Government and opposition leaders additional time to consult internally and strengthen their respective positions.
