|

Djibouti (KAAB TV) – The Coast Guard of Djibouti rescued three fishermen who had been missing for more than a month on the beaches of Berbera.

The security agencies of Djibouti have presented the rescued fishermen, who were found drifting in the Red Sea, after the engine of the boat they were traveling with failed.

One of the fishermen who spoke to the media, gave details about the problem they went through.

“We left Berbera on December 6, 2024, a mechanical failure occurred in the engine of our boat, and we were in the sea for 29 days before the Djibouti Coast Guard rescued us,” he said.

The Coast Guard confirmed that the fishermen will be returned to the city of Berbera where they came from safely.

The rescue highlights the important role of the Djibouti Coast Guard in ensuring maritime security in the region.
