Garowe (Kaab TV) – Puntland President Siciid Cabdullaahi Deni held a meeting last night with members of the Puntland parliament who represent the federal Somali Government.
The meeting, which took place at the Xalane compound in Mogadishu, was described as an exchange of information and consultation, according to a statement from the Puntland presidency. Officials from both houses of Puntland’s parliament, who are part of the presidential delegation in Mogadishu, also participated.
President Deni has been in Mogadishu for more than two weeks, where he has been involved in discussions following the stalled talks between the federal government and the House of the Future leaders.
Earlier, President Deni stated that he would not leave Mogadishu until agreements were reached on electoral matters. However, he is now expected to return to Puntland in the coming days.
