Adow Dibile (KAAB TV) – A disturbing incident has been reported involving the commander of the army, Colonel Nur Mohamed Gaabow (also known as Nur Farey), on October 14. It is alleged that Colonel Nur Farey shot one of his guards. The situation escalated after the commander allegedly lied to a soldier about the defected status of a member of the Al-Shabaab group, prompting the bodyguard to open fire, claiming the soldier had already defected from the terrorist group.
Further reports indicate that the soldier responsible for shooting the commander was also killed at the scene. The body of Colonel Nur Farey has since been transported to Mogadishu.
While army officers on the front lines typically deliver motivational speeches, this tragic incident represents an unusual and concerning development.
