Laascaanood (Kaab TV) — Dahabshiil Group has donated $50,000 to support relief efforts addressing the drought in Somalia’s North East State.
Last week, the Federal Member State government urged businesses and humanitarian organizations to contribute to efforts aimed at alleviating the impact of the drought on rural communities.
A representative from Dahabshiil Group officially presented the donation to a committee tasked with coordinating the response in the affected areas. Dahabshiil Group is the first company to make a financial contribution to the North East State appeal.
In addition, the company has also donated $100,000 to support drought mitigation efforts in Puntland State, Somalia.
