Aalimiskaad (KAAB TV) – A fierce battle erupted last night in the Habley mountains of Ufeyn district, Bari region, between Puntland Defense Forces and members of the ISIS terrorist group.

According to Puntland military officials, a group of Daesh fighters engaged in combat with the Puntland Defense Forces. Most of the attackers were reportedly killed, and officials stated that various weapons were used in repelling the assault.

In the aftermath of the confrontation, the Puntland Defense Forces initiated operations in the area where the battle occurred, with the aim of eliminating the remaining militants.

The Puntland Army has seen significant success in its ongoing fight against ISIS militias, gaining control over key bases and strategic locations in the Calmisakad mountains, previously held by Daesh.
