Call Ship Çağrı Bey to Dock at Mogadishu Port on Friday

MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – The Turkish oil exploration vessel Çağrı Bey is expected to dock in Mogadishu this Friday. The ship, which has been assigned to oil extraction operations, will be undertaking its first mission outside Turkey’s territorial waters and is currently located off the coast of Somalia.

A delegation from the Turkish government is en route to Mogadishu to participate in welcoming the vessel, which departed from Turkey and has now arrived in Somali waters after a long journey.

Additional Turkish ships are also expected to arrive. These vessels are conducting surveys in new areas where oil drilling and the exploration of other natural resources found in Somalia’s البحرية (maritime zones) are expected to begin soon, according to various sources.

Security along the country’s الساحل (coastline) has been heightened to ensure the realization of Somalia’s long-held ambition of harnessing its natural resources, both offshore and on land.
