An operation in Mudug region.

AMAARA (KAAB TV) – Armed forces with the help of local residents attacked the town of Amara in Mudug region and killed members of Al-Shabaab.

The planned operation was targeted at a house in Amara where an Al-Shabaab official, whose name was Ismail Beerdile, was named to the group at the Galgaduud Court.

According to a statement issued by the Somali government, four members of Al-Shabaab were killed in this operation, while their weapons were also recovered.

The situation is still tense and military activities are now felt in the Amara area in the south of Mudug region.
