Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adan Madobe, held a meeting in his office today with a committee of Somali businessmen, who are victims of the Somali government after the imposition of taxes on a number of communities.
The businessmen shared their complaints with the Governor because the commercial markets in Mogadishu were closed for the past few days.
Adan Madobe shared with the businessmen that the government is never willing to put a burden on the businessmen and is ready to solve the concerns of the businessmen.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Economy, Trade, Industry, and Investment of the People’s Assembly, Garad Mohamed Sheikh, and the Chairman of the Defense Committee of the People’s Assembly, Yusuf Geelle Ugas.
The meeting is coming at a time when the big markets in Mogadishu, especially Bakara and Hamarweyne, were closed for the last few days, after the government imposed additional taxes on traders.
