Garowe (KAAB TV) – The President of Puntland, Saeed Abdullahi Deni, today chaired a meeting of the two councils of the Puntland administration, which discussed the operation of Daesh terrorists from Puntland in the Calmiskat mountains.
In this meeting, the successes achieved in the operation of the first phase and the beginning of the second phase were presented, and condolences were given to the brave soldiers who were martyred during the operation.
The president listened to reports from the committees that were working on the operation as the plan is to quickly end the few remaining remnants of Daesh Terrorism.
The president said that the people of Puntland have already shown unity and support for the army, saying that it is necessary for the people of Puntland, the government and Shaba to take responsibility for the fight against terrorism.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Puntland House of Representatives Abdirisaaq Ahmed Saeed and the First Deputy Chairman of the Puntland House of Representatives Mohamed Bari Shire, Member of the Somali Parliament Gen. Bashir Americo, members of the Government Councils in Bosaso, the Operation Support Committee, Security Officers, the Governor of Bari Region, the Governor of Nugal Region, the Governor of Bosaso District, advisors to the President and other members.
