JOWHAR (KAAB TV) – Reports from the Middle Shabelle region of the Hir-Shabelle Regional Government say that an explosion occurred in a car carrying civilians crossing the road connecting the cities of Jowhar and Mahaday.
Two people were killed while a number of others were injured after the car they were traveling in exploded with a mine. The injured were taken to Jowhar City for medical attention.
The vehicle was completely destroyed and the injured people, mostly young people, were rescued by the locals and others who were walking on the road that was hit by the blast, as confirmed by various sources.
The mountain boat that has the place where the explosion took place is one of the areas where the most explosions are encountered by the traffic that crosses the towns of Jowhar and Mahaday in the Middle Shabelle region.
It is said that people with serious injuries will be brought to Mogadishu, officials of the Hir-Shabelle Regional Government are said to be visiting the injured people.
