The Banaadir Regional Court of Appeal is expected to issue its ruling today after hearing an appeal filed by the lawyers of Sadia Moalin Ali, widely known as Sadia Bajaj, who challenged a previous verdict handed down by the Banadir Regional Court in June.
The appeals court heard arguments from Sadia’s defense lawyers, who sought to overturn or amend the earlier judgment, as well as the response from the Office of the Prosecutor, which defended the previous ruling.
The court is now expected to announce its decision after reviewing the arguments and evidence presented by both sides. Its ruling could either uphold the earlier judgment, modify it, or overturn it and issue a different decision.
