Djiboutian Citizens Participate in National Elections Today

Djibouti (Kaab TV) – Citizens of the Republic of Djibouti headed to the polls this morning following several days of active campaigning by competing political parties, each promising strong performance and meaningful progress if elected.

According to Wikipedia, Djibouti has a population of approximately 1.17 million people. Less than half of the population is participating in the vote—specifically those who are registered and hold voter cards. The current president, Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, is seeking a sixth consecutive term in office.

Various observer delegations are present across the Republic of Djibouti and have been deployed to different regions where voting is taking place. They are assessing the conduct of the الانتخابات, including the fairness of the process, the freedom of voters, and other key electoral standards.
