MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – The Somali Rescue Forum has strongly condemned the violations involving intimidation, physical assault, and unlawful detention that took place in the Dab-dhamiska neighborhood of Wadajir district.
“According to the Forum’s findings, local residents have faced various hardships, with many being forcibly evicted from their homes, which has severely disrupted their lives and their basic rights,” the statement said.
The Forum noted that these violations are acts that contradict the constitution and good governance, and are therefore unacceptable. The report described the incident as “one deserving of serious concern,” and called for those responsible for the abuses to be brought to justice and for the confiscated homes and property of the residents to be returned.
Additionally, the Somali Rescue Forum urged security forces and government officials to conduct an immediate investigation into the incident and to take lawful measures to ensure justice for the victims.
Finally, the Forum reiterated its call on government leaders to put an end to such violations, uphold their responsibility to protect citizens’ rights, and ensure that the property and safety of civilians are genuinely safeguarded.
