MUQDISHO (Kaab TV) – The District Commissioner of Balanbale, Abdiasis Hashi, has rejected a dismissal recently issued by some members of the local council.
The district council voted last Tuesday and accused Commissioner Abdiasis Hashi of failing to perform his duties and engaging in actions that violate the council’s regulations.
They then announced to have sacked Abdiasis Hashi.
In an interview with Kaab TV, Commissioner Abdiasis Hashi stated that a few members of the local council had created what he described as “chaos,” but emphasized that he is still fulfilling his responsibilities.
“The work is proceeding as usual. No one has dismissed me,” he said.
The Commissioner further added that the Ministry of Interior of Galmudug is working well with his administration.
Reports from Balanbale indicate that there has been a long-standing conflict between some members of the local administration and Commissioner Abdiasis Hashi.
The Balanbale local council is part of the councils previously established by the Ministry of Interior of Galmudug.
