Djibouti (KAAB TV) – Ethiopia and Djibouti have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the two East African nations.

In a productive meeting, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, engaged with Djibouti’s Minister of Budget, Isman Ibrahim Robleh.

The discussion primarily focused on addressing key issues affecting both parties, particularly resolving requests from Ethiopian institutions operating in Djibouti.

“During our discussions, we addressed several important issues crucial for fostering a favorable business environment for Ethiopian institutions in Djibouti,” Ambassador Berhanu shared on X.

One of the main topics was the challenges faced by Ethiopian Airlines, a vital link between the two countries that facilitates trade and transportation. Additionally, the meeting explored matters concerning the National Oil Company (NOC), with an emphasis on the need for efficient operations and strengthened collaboration in the energy sector.
