President Ahmed Madobe Criticizes Somalia’s Government Under President Hassan Sheikh

|

Kismayo (KAAB TV) – The President of Jubaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe, in a recent interview, criticized the government of President Hassan Sheikh for operating like a company driven by clan mentality reminiscent of the civil wars of 1991.

Madobe also claimed that Prime Minister Hamse holds no real power in Hassan Sheikh’s government, describing him as merely an employee with no say in decisions or government policies. According to Madobe, the imbalance of power in the Somali government is evident.

“The Somali government today has become a company that functions under the logic of 1991. What’s missing is the authority of the Prime Minister, who has nothing in his hands and is not consulted on any decisions. I regret to say that he is essentially an employee of the administration,” President Madobe stated.

Furthermore, Madobe accused President Hassan Sheikh’s administration of abandoning the rule of law and the constitution, warning that the government’s actions could lead to conflict and potentially threaten the unity of Somalia.
