Police Forces Took Over The House of Mothers In Mogadishu

Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – Numerous Somali Police forces individuals have taken control of the House of Mothers, which in recent times refused to let the National Women’s Association move to work for the Ministry of Family in Somalia.

The forces that took over the security of the House of Mothers after the morning prayer arrested members of the Women’s Association who were taken in the transport known as the Net which was used to transport the prisoners, and the news we received says that two of the vice presidents of the Women’s Association are among the people who were arrested.

The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, has already said that  the House of Mothers must be vacated and the National Women’s Association cannot exist in the building of the Mothers, the Ministry of Women is working in that building” which was rejected by the Women’s Association.

They protested several times in front of the Mothers’ House and the Mothers’ Center in general, accusing Prime Minister Hamse and saying that the House of Mothers is being sold to businessmen and they will oppose any power that tries to remove the building.

The Chairperson of the National Women’s Association, Batulo Gabale said that she opened a case file in the Banadir Regional Court related to the allegations made by the Prime Minister and also that there is a plan to sell the house.
