More Than 1,660 Refugees Have Been Denied Travel to The United States

|

Afghanistan (KAAB TV) – More than 1,660 refugees from Afghanistan were stopped from being resettled in the United States yesterday, after Trump issued an order suspending the arrival of refugees in the United States.

As reported by the news agency Reuters, these refugees are children of families that had contact with the American army during their time in Afghanistan.

The Taliban in control of Afghanistan announced today that they have released two American citizens who were arrested in 2021.

They replaced Afghan fighters, Khan Mohammed, who has been serving a life sentence in a California prison since 2008 by a federal court in the United States.

He has now returned to Afghanistan, after an agreement brokered by Qatar between the Taliban and the United States.
