MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – The Somali police command issued a press statement on the fire that broke out last night at the C.I.D Criminal Investigation Branch, which was widely felt in the capital.
The police statement said that the fire was caused by electricity, and it started in a room of the C.I.D center, but it was quickly extinguished after the fire brigade arrived.
The Somali Police announced that no damage was caused by the fire, and it was immediately controlled before it spread to other offices in the center.
“The command of the Somali Police Force shares with the community of the country’s capital in Mogadishu that there was no loss of life or property in the fire caused by electricity that broke out in a room of the security forces of the C.I.D Criminal Investigation Branch” said the press release issued by the command Police.
“Thank God that the fire brigade that worked to put out the fire was successful.”The press also added.
The fire affected traffic at the KM4 intersection in the center, which is a busy road used by the public.
There was also a lot of concern about the fire, as the accused were arrested by the police, who are in the C.I.D detention center, but the police confirmed that the people are safe and the fire did not cause any loss.
