Kenya Has Waived Entry Requirements For Africans Except Somalia and Libya

|

MOGADISHU (KAAB TV) – The Kenyan government has announced that it has removed the eTA and entry requirements for all African citizens, excluding those from Somalia and Libya, due to security issues.

The move is aimed at strengthening regional integration and promoting tourism growth across the continent.

African visitors will now enjoy a two-month stay, while East African (EAC) nationals will retain the privilege of six months of stay under the existing free movement protocol.

To streamline the entry process, Kenya will introduce expedited eTA processing, enabling expedited approval with a maximum of 72 hours.

The adoption of Advanced Passenger Name/Passenger Name Record System is expected to improve security and speed up passenger clearance at airports.

The Cabinet has directed the Ministries of National Audit, Transport, Interior, and Tourism to issue comprehensive guidelines to improve the travel experience at Kenyan airports within a week.
