GALKAYO (KAAB TV) – An 8-year-old girl has been confirmed dead after being raped in Adado district, Galgaduud region of Galmudug.
The police said that the girl’s name is Maryan Shafi Badal.
The body was said to be found with signs of rape.
This incident caused panic among the residents of Adado and the Galmudug administration in general.
Adado Police said that they are now holding several men who are suspected of being behind this act, and an investigation is underway.
The rape of young children is returning in Somali regions. A month ago, two sisters were gang-raped in the town of Lasanod.
Lascaanod police arrested 24 men who are still in custody.
